Case Study #58

A 77 year old male client has metastatic prostate cancer.  He is in his hospital bed most of the time due to spinal cord compression.  He is catheterized and can transfer from bed to walker with light assistance.  A volunteer is needed to sit with him while his wife who has Parkinson’s Disease has a break.  The volunteer may also be needed to assist with errands, picking up groceries, etc.  The client was a curler, golfer, enjoyed the outdoors and playing cards.
