If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but think you can't,
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find
Success begins witha fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you're outclasses, you are;
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

Now, while this isn't the ONLY way to improve or maintain biopscyhosocial health, it is one thing you can do.
Most of us don't take up new things in middle and late age, but we certainly should. My late friend learned to paint at age 75.
All of us know the ways to keep our health:
- stay active: endurance as well as cardiovascular and strenuous play,
- modify activities to match the state of your physical health: if running is no longer possible, walk
- keep your mind active
- learn something new; music, art, dance, drama (MADD)
- keep and find friends
- belong to a social network
- read, write, think, play
- eat balanced meals throughout the day
- eat your greens and less meat
- limit alcohol
- refrain from addictions, especially smoking.
