Failure to report abuse

What happens if someone fails to report?

Certain people are guilty of an offence if they fail to make a report under Section 75 of the Act. This includes staff members of the retirement home and those who provide professional services to residents of the retirement home.

Any obligated person who fails to report abuse and neglect under Section 75 of the Act may be prosecuted under the Provincial Offences Act.
