Canadian Virtual Hospice is another resource, and will direct you to your provincial (e.g., Hospice Association of Ontario) or territorial office.If a family member has cancer, the Canadian Cancer Societyhas many resources, human and tangible; services, libraries, peer caregiver support, access to research, as do many disease-specific groups, e.g., Alzheimer Society of Canada, Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
Ontario has many Adult Day Away Programs, non-profit agencies, such as The Friends, which provide a full day of activities, and take in adults with dementia to provide respite to caregivers.
