TROUT CREEK – The search for a missing Trout Creek man has come to a happy conclusion.
Eric Kraus, 82, of Trout Creek, was found at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning on a snowmobile trail north of North Bay. He had been missing since Tuesday afternoon when he failed to show up at an appointment with a family member in North Bay. He was last seen leaving his Trout Creek home at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police report that Klaus is in good health after being flown from the trail, west of the Tomiko Restaurant near Tilden Lake, to the North Bay airport where paramedics took him to hospital for observation. He was initially found by two snowmobilers who found him in his vehicle, which was stuck and out of gas.

Family and police were concerned about Kraus because of the early onset of dementia symptoms. Police issued a zone alert and a Canadian Police Information Centre alert for Kraus and, at 5 p.m. Tuesday night, were organizing search and rescue teams to begin combing country roads. - Sudbury OPP Continue to Investigate Fatal Collsion
